Who It's For
The family room is cold, the furnace keeps cycling, and you do not need a stove sized for a mansion. You need dependable heat for a modest space that is easy to run. The Forge & Flame PP60B is for the smaller home, the basement, or the addition where a full-size stove would be overkill. Oversize it and you spend the winter turning it down; size it right and the room just stays comfortable.
What Makes It Special
A full 60-pound hopper runs up to 40 hours on the low setting, so a single fill can carry you through a long weekend of mild weather.
It heats up to 1,500 square feet, lights itself with an automatic igniter, and has a variable-speed fan to spread the warmth. Outside combustion air comes in the box, and with that fresh-air kit it is approved for mobile homes.
Operation is one dial, the same simple control as the larger stoves in the line.
Possible Downsides
- It is the smallest stove in this pellet line. For more space or longer runs, look at the larger stoves in this line.
- It needs electricity for the fan and igniter.
- It comes in black only.
If you want pellet heat for a smaller space without paying for capacity you will not use, the Forge & Flame PP60B is the right decision. The coldest room in the house becomes the one where everyone settles in.
There are no options to choose: it comes complete with a black door and the outside-air kit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Forge & Flame PP60B big enough for my living space?
The Forge & Flame PP60B is sized for about 750–1,500 square feet, so it suits a smaller home, a basement, or an addition. It's the smallest stove in the PelPro pellet line, so a larger home is better served by one of its bigger siblings.
How long does a full hopper last in the PP60B?
The hopper holds 60 pounds of pellets, which runs approximately 28–40 hours. You get the longer end of that range on the low setting, so one fill can carry you through a mild weekend.
How does the dial control on the PP60B work?
One dial runs everything. Settings 1 through 10 use the built-in thermostat, shutting the stove down when the room reaches your comfort level and restarting it when it cools, while LO and HI run continuously. The manual notes it isn't designed for a remote or an external wall thermostat.
Will the PP60B keep running if the power goes out?
No. It needs 110-volt power to run its fan and igniter, and the manual says it hasn't been tested with third-party battery backups. If you plan to use a generator, PelPro recommends a steady-state model.
What venting does the PP60B use?
It vents through approved 3-inch or 4-inch Type L or PL pellet vent pipe. The manual calls for the 4-inch size if the flue runs taller than 15 feet or the home sits more than 3,000 feet above sea level. Venting isn't included with the stove.
Can I install the PP60B in a mobile home?
Yes. It's approved for mobile homes as long as it isn't in a sleeping room, the outside air kit that ships with the stove is installed, it's grounded to the frame with #8 copper wire, and it's bolted to the floor through its legs.
What comes in the box with the PP60B, and what floor protection do I need?
It ships complete with a black door, the outside air kit, a power cord, and a cleaning tool, with no options to choose. You'll still need a non-combustible floor protector under the stove that extends at least 6 inches in front of the glass and 6 inches to each side of the loading door.
How efficient is the PP60B, and what's the warranty?
It has an 83.5% certified efficiency rating and is certified to the 2020 EPA particulate standard at 0.7 grams per hour. The warranty covers steel parts, excluding the fire pot, for 5 years and electrical parts for 1 year, parts only.
