Find My Fireplace is a free guide. We help you see what's available near you and introduce you to a local dealer who can hopefully help. We have not inspected or certified any dealer ourselves—what makes them credible is that the manufacturers whose products they sell have authorized them to sell and support those products. Your project, your quote, and your installation are between you and the professionals you hire. Always confirm everything with them before you buy.

Find My Fireplace ("we," "us") is a free informational service operated by WhyFire, LLC. We publish guidance about fireplaces, stoves, and inserts and connect homeowners with local dealers. By using this site you agree to these terms. Questions? Contact us.
What our dealer listings mean—and what they don't
- We have not personally vetted, inspected, audited, or certified any dealer against a standard of our own. Words like "trusted" or "preferred" on this site are not a certification.
- Dealers listed here are authorized by the fireplace, stove, and insert manufacturers they represent to sell those manufacturers' products. That authorization comes from the manufacturers, not from us.
- "Preferred" dealers are members of a partner network we work with; that reflects a business relationship, not an independent inspection of their work.
- We make no promises about any dealer's pricing, workmanship, licensing, insurance, availability, or installation services. Not all dealers install what they sell.
Talk to a professional before you buy
Everything on this site—costs, sizing, venting, clearances, code notes, permit information—is general education, not professional advice. Fireplace projects involve combustion, gas, electricity, and building code. We advise working with a qualified local professional before any purchase or installation is made, and confirming permits and code requirements with your local building authority. Only a professional who has seen your home can tell you what is safe and right for it.
Your project is yours and your dealer's
Our goal is simple: to connect you with someone who can hopefully help. Any quote, purchase, installation, or service that follows is a contract between you and that dealer or professional. We are not a party to your project, and we are not responsible or liable for it—including product selection, pricing, delivery, installation quality, code compliance, or anything else that happens after the introduction.
Estimates, price ranges, and project guides
Some dealers on this site are partners whose product and pricing data power the estimates, price ranges, and project guides you can generate here. That information comes from the dealer, not from us—we display it on their behalf. A price range is a planning aid, not a quote or an offer. Final pricing, product availability, and installation details are confirmed only in a written quote from the dealer after they've reviewed your project. Everything above about our role applies here too: we are not responsible or liable for the accuracy of dealer-provided information or for any purchase or installation that follows.
No warranties
The site and everything on it is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Data such as dealer listings, prices, and availability can change or contain errors; we don't guarantee accuracy or completeness.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhyFire, LLC and its owners and staff are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site, your reliance on its content, or your dealings with any dealer or professional introduced through it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use this site—which is zero, because the site is free.

We link to government agencies, utilities, suppliers, and dealer websites for your convenience. Those sites belong to their owners; we're not responsible for their content or practices.
Reviews and submissions
If you submit a review or rating, you give us permission to publish it (with your first name and general location) on this site. Keep reviews honest and yours. We may decline or remove submissions that are off-topic, unlawful, or abusive.
Changes
