Who It's For

Bigger homes need a stove that can send heat in more than one direction. Warmth should reach the next room. You need a high-output stove that stays quiet and runs itself. For a medium to large home, the Forge & Flame Absolute63, powered by Harman technology, steps up. Choose it and one stove covers a lot of house.

What Makes It Special

Harman rates it to heat up to 3,400 square feet; in most homes, expect 1,550–3,100 sq ft, depending on climate and layout. It directs air out in several directions, so the warmth spreads beyond the front of the stove.

A 72 lb hopper, quiet variable-speed blowers, a touch control with a wireless room sensor, and an LED-lit hopper lid make it easy to live with. Choose Black or Porcelain Majolica Brown.

Possible Downsides

If you want one quiet stove to heat a larger home, the Forge & Flame Absolute63 is the right decision. Warmth reaches the far rooms while the stove stays quiet.

Choose Black or Porcelain Majolica Brown, and add an outside temperature kit if you like.

Frequently Asked Questions

How large a home can the Forge & Flame Absolute63 heat?

The Forge & Flame Absolute63 heats about 1,550–3,100 sq ft in most homes, depending on climate and layout, and Harman rates it as high as 3,400 square feet. Its variable-speed fans and multidirectional airflow vents send warm air out in several directions, so heat reaches past the front of the stove.

How much pellet fuel does the Absolute63 hold, and how is ash handled?

The Absolute63 holds 72 lb of pellets under an LED-lit hopper lid, so you can check the level at a glance. Its bottom-up feed system is designed to burn any grade of pellet fuel and allows 24-hour heating, and a large concealed ash pan makes cleanup quicker.

How do I set the temperature on the Absolute63?

You use the EASY Touch Control, a single-screen panel with scheduling, diagnostics, cleaning prompts, and a fuel gauge, along with a wireless room sensor that reads the temperature where you sit. An outside temperature kit is the one add-on option, and the control reminds you when it's time to scrape the burn pot or empty the ash pan.

Can the Absolute63 keep running during a power outage?

Only with an approved inverter/charger. A UPS such as the Tripp Lite INTERNET750U just gives the Absolute63 a smoke-free shutdown, but the Harman-approved Tripp Lite APS700HF and APS750 inverter/chargers can run it for up to eight hours on a 12-volt deep-cycle battery, after your dealer changes a power-failure setting.

What venting and wall clearances does the Absolute63 need?

It vents with 3-inch or 4-inch type L or PL pipe and can sit 2 inches from the back wall, 6 inches from a side wall, or 6.25 inches from the walls in a corner. The Absolute63 also fits an alcove at least 48 inches tall and no more than 36 inches deep.

Is the Absolute63 approved for mobile homes, and what floor protection does it need?

Yes, the Absolute63 is approved for mobile and manufactured homes outside sleeping rooms, with a Harman outside air kit, listed L or PL pellet vent, and a ground to the home's frame. In any home it needs a non-combustible floor protector extending 6 inches to the sides, 1 inch behind, and 6 inches in front of the glass.

How efficient is the Absolute63, and is it EPA certified?

The Absolute63 has a 77% efficiency rating on the higher heating value, and it's EPA certified at 1.4 grams per hour under the 2020 particulate emission standard. Its exhaust sensing probe constantly monitors and adjusts heat output to hold your set room temperature.

How is the Absolute63 different from the Absolute43?

The Absolute63 is the bigger of the two, with a 72 lb hopper versus 52 lb, and it heats about 1,550–3,100 sq ft in most homes versus 1,100–2,200 sq ft for the Absolute43. It comes in Black or Porcelain Majolica Brown, while the Absolute43 also offers Sand, and either model has to be ordered and installed by a dealer trained on it.

The Harman Story

Harman was founded by Dane Harman, a welder, who built his first stove in 1978 and started Harman Stove and Welding beside his home in Halifax, Pennsylvania, in 1979. Its pellet stoves grew out of a patented coal stoker, with a bottom-feed burn pot that pushes ash out and a probe that feeds by temperature. Hearth & Home Technologies bought Harman in 2007, and since 2023 its stoves have been sold under the Forge & Flame name, “Powered by Harman Technology.”
