Who It's For
A black stove disappears into a dark corner, and in a bright room it can feel heavy. You need a stove that heats a smaller home and looks like a piece of furniture you chose on purpose. If you want wood heat for up to 1,500 square feet and a stove in a color that suits the room, the Vista Classic is the one. Choose plain steel and you get the same fire without the finish that makes it yours.
What Makes It Special
The Vista Classic is the Vista stove wrapped in porcelain enamel color, from Ivory and Red to Midnight Blue, Evergreen, Modern Desert, and Black. Porcelain wipes clean and holds its color for years.
Underneath, it is the same compact firebox, with one control lever and a full load that runs approx. 7–10 hours. It sits on legs with a decorative trivet on top, and the ash disposal system comes standard, so emptying ashes is a quick, clean job.
Possible Downsides
- The blower is optional, not included. Without it, the stove heats by radiation alone.
- It stands on legs only. For a pedestal base, look at the Vista.
If you want a small wood stove that brings color into the room as well as heat, the Vista Classic is the right decision. The stove becomes the bright spot in the room, and the room becomes the one everyone ends up in.
The Vista Classic comes in Ivory, Red, Midnight Blue, Black, Modern Desert, or Evergreen porcelain, with legs and an arched door in Metallic Black, Nickel, or Brushed Nickel, a black or nickel trivet, and an optional blower.

The Pacific Energy Story
Pacific Energy Fireplace Products was founded in 1978 by Paul Erickson in Duncan, British Columbia. It's best known for steel and cast-iron wood stoves, many finished in porcelain enamel from its own plant, and it also builds wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, and gas stoves. The same company makes Town & Country gas fireplaces, True North, and Elegant Electric. Sweden's NIBE group became the majority owner in 2022, and NIBE's 2023 annual report lists the company as wholly owned.
