Who It's For
Too small a stove and you are feeding it every two hours; too big and the living room turns into a sauna. You need a stove sized for an ordinary home and simple to run every day. If your house is up to about 2,000 square feet and you want wood to carry much of the heating, the Super is the one. Pacific Energy calls it their most popular stove, and the size is the reason.
What Makes It Special
The Super is easy to light, easy to run, and easy to look after. Logs load straight in, front to back, which makes refueling safer, and one lever sets the burn. A full load runs approx. 7–10 hours, long enough to carry you from bedtime to breakfast.
It burns with no electricity, so it keeps the house warm through an outage. A heavy steel top holds heat, and an optional temperature-activated blower moves that heat farther across the room when you want it.
Possible Downsides
- The blower is optional, not included. Without it, the stove heats by radiation alone.
- The ash disposal system is optional. It comes standard on the Super Classic and the Super 27HD.
If you want a proven wood stove sized for an average home, the Super is the right decision. The house stays warm all winter, and the furnace runs a lot less.
The Super stands on a pedestal or on legs, with an arched door in Metallic Black, Brushed Nickel, or Nickel and an optional blower.

The Pacific Energy Story
Pacific Energy Fireplace Products was founded in 1978 by Paul Erickson in Duncan, British Columbia. It's best known for steel and cast-iron wood stoves, many finished in porcelain enamel from its own plant, and it also builds wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, and gas stoves. The same company makes Town & Country gas fireplaces, True North, and Elegant Electric. Sweden's NIBE group became the majority owner in 2022, and NIBE's 2023 annual report lists the company as wholly owned.
