Who It's For
A fireplace heats the room it is in beautifully, and the bedrooms down the hall stay cold. You need the heat from the fire to reach the rooms that need it. If you are building or remodeling, want a built-in wood fire for a home of up to 2,000 square feet, and like the idea of sending some of that heat to other rooms, the FP25 is the one. It frames into the wall and is finished with tile or stone, so plan for that work along with the fireplace.
What Makes It Special
The FP25 can take an optional powered heat distribution system that ducts warm air from the fireplace to isolated rooms. Each duct has its own switch, so you send heat only where you want it.
Inside, a heavy steel firebox floats in its housing, and two temperature-activated blowers push heat into the main room. A large cast iron door, an air-wash system for clean glass, and a single control lever keep it simple to run.
Possible Downsides
- Heat distribution to other rooms is an add-on. The powered kit is sold separately and is not included with the fireplace.
If you want a built-in wood fireplace that can share its heat with the rest of the house, the FP25 is the right decision. The fire in the family room keeps the back bedroom comfortable too.
The FP25 comes in a contemporary face or the arched FP25 Arch, with front trim and the optional powered heat distribution kit.

The Pacific Energy Story

It's best known for steel and cast-iron wood stoves, many finished in porcelain enamel from its own plant, and it also builds wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, and gas stoves. The same company makes Town & Country gas fireplaces, True North, and Elegant Electric. Sweden's NIBE group became the majority owner in 2022, and NIBE's 2023 annual report lists the company as wholly owned.
