Who It's For
If wood is your main heat, the stove works hard every day from fall to spring, and a light-duty top or a missing ash pan gets old fast. You need a stove built for daily, heavy use that is ready to go out of the box. If you heat a home of up to 2,000 square feet with wood and want the toughest version of the mid-size stove, the Super 27HD is the one. Pick a standard stove and you add the ash pan and pedestal yourself.
What Makes It Special
The Super 27HD comes pre-assembled with its pedestal, black door, and ash disposal system, so it is ready to place and connect. The top is heavy-duty 3/8-inch steel with a heavy-duty flue collar, made to take years of daily fires.
Pacific Energy backs it with an upgraded 5/15-year warranty. Inside, logs load straight in, front to back, one lever sets the burn, and it heats with no electricity, so an outage does not leave you cold.
Possible Downsides
- One look only: black, on a pedestal. For legs or other door finishes, see the Super; for color, see the Super Classic.
- The blower is optional, not included. Without it, the stove heats by radiation alone.
If wood is your main heat and you want a mid-size stove built heavier and ready to burn, the Super 27HD is the right decision. Every winter morning starts the same way: a warm house and a stove that is ready for another load.
The Super 27HD comes in Metallic Black with an optional blower.

The Pacific Energy Story
Pacific Energy Fireplace Products was founded in 1978 by Paul Erickson in Duncan, British Columbia. It's best known for steel and cast-iron wood stoves, many finished in porcelain enamel from its own plant, and it also builds wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, and gas stoves. The same company makes Town & Country gas fireplaces, True North, and Elegant Electric. Sweden's NIBE group became the majority owner in 2022, and NIBE's 2023 annual report lists the company as wholly owned.
