Who It's For

Some people just want a wood stove that lights easily and keeps them warm, without screens, apps, or extras. You need a straightforward stove sized for a smaller space. The Forge & Flame WP-100 is for the cabin, the cottage, or the smaller house where wood is the main heat and simplicity is the point. A bigger stove would run too hot here; this one is sized to the room.

What Makes It Special

It is built from heavy-gauge steel with a cast iron door, a combination made to take years of daily fires.

A quick-start design helps the fire catch fast, and two levers manage the air so you can let it roar or settle it down for a long, even burn. The firebox holds logs up to 16 inches.

It heats up to 2,100 square feet, and a load lasts up to seven hours, enough to get through an evening without reloading.

Possible Downsides

If you want an uncomplicated wood stove for a smaller space, the Forge & Flame WP-100 is the right decision. You split a few logs, light one fire, and the whole cabin is warm by dinner.

It comes in one configuration, black steel with a cast iron door.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size home is the Forge & Flame WP-100 built for?

The WP-100 heats about 1,050–2,100 sq ft, which makes it the smallest of the three WoodPro sizes. It has a 1.48 cu ft firebox that takes logs up to 16 inches, and it comes in one configuration: black heavy-gauge steel with a cast iron door.

How long will one load of wood last in the WP-100?

Plan on about 5–7 hours per load, enough to get through an evening without reloading. That's the shortest burn of the three sizes; the WP-200 and WP-300 run longer. The manual recommends reloading while lively hot coals remain so the new wood catches cleanly.

How do the two air levers on the WP-100 work?

The Burn Rate Air Control handle sets how hot and fast the fire burns. The Smart Air Control knob adds start-up air and runs a timer that gradually closes the front air channel over about 25 minutes, so the fire catches quickly and then settles down; you can shut it off early by hand.

Is the WP-100 EPA certified, and how efficient is it?

Yes. The WP-100 is EPA certified to the 2020 particulate standard at 1.7 grams per hour, and its efficiency is 82% (certified rating). Burning dry, seasoned wood around 20% moisture helps you get that performance.

Can I install the WP-100 in a mobile home?

Yes, it's listed for mobile homes, but not in a sleeping room. The Outside Air Kit (part OAK-ACC) must be installed, the stove must be grounded to the frame with #8 copper wire, and the shipping brackets double as the mobile home brackets.

What floor protection and space does the WP-100 need?

In the US you need a noncombustible floor protector reaching at least 16 inches in front of the glass and 8 inches past both sides of the loading door. Alcove installs are allowed with double wall pipe up to 48 inches deep, and leaving 19 inches on the right side lets you replace the air tubes without moving the stove.

What routine maintenance does the WP-100 need?

Check the baffle and ceramic blanket monthly, have the chimney inspected for creosote every two months in burn season, and inspect the firebrick, door gasket, and latch weekly. Shovel out ashes when they're within 1-3/4 inches of the firebox lip, and store them in a lidded metal container.

What warranty comes with the WP-100?

The WoodPro limited warranty covers steel parts for 5 years, parts only with labor not included. It doesn't cover paint, glass, firebrick, or gaskets, and it's void if the stove isn't installed, run, cleaned, and maintained as the manual directs.

The WoodPro Story

WoodPro is the value wood stove line from Hearth & Home Technologies, the company behind Quadra-Fire and Vermont Castings. It dates to about 2014. The FF-WP-100, 200, and 300 meet the EPA's 2020 emission limits and are sold as Forge & Flame's W series, through dealers and farm and home stores.
