Brand SummaryWoodPro is the value wood stove line from Hearth & Home Technologies, the company behind Quadra-Fire and Vermont Castings. It dates to about 2014.[2] The FF-WP-100, 200, and 300 meet the EPA's 2020 emission limits[1] and are sold as Forge & Flame's W series, through dealers and farm and home stores.[4]

What Is WoodPro?

WoodPro is Hearth & Home Technologies' everyday wood stove. It first showed up around 2014, run from the same team as PelPro,[2] and it was sold in farm and home stores as well as by dealers. HHT owns the WoodPro name,[1][3] and the stoves now carry the Forge & Flame name as the W series. woodprostoves.com forwards to the Forge & Flame website.[4]

Per the manufacturer's install manual and listings.[1][6][7][8] All three are mobile-home approved. Real-world results depend on your home, climate, and wood.

Bigger isn't better if it means you'll always burn it low. An oversized stove smolders, blackens the glass, and coats the chimney. Pick the one sized for the space you're heating.

How Is WoodPro Different From Quadra-Fire and Vermont Castings?

WoodPro is the W series: plain steel, simple controls, a shorter warranty, and a much lower price. Quadra-Fire's WS series adds its clean-burning firebox design, more features, and dealer service, and Vermont Castings' WSX series adds cast iron, enamel colors, and the most advanced burn systems. For a cabin, shop, or tight budget, a WoodPro does the job. For a stove you'll look at and load every day for twenty years, the step up is often worth it.

Can I Install a WoodPro Myself?

A wood stove is a real fire in your home, and the chimney and clearances are what keep it safe. Call your building department about a permit and your insurer about what they need before you buy. In most of Canada, insurers expect a WETT inspection. Follow the owner's manual exactly, burn seasoned wood under 20% moisture, and have the chimney inspected every year.

The WoodPro Lineup

WoodPro stoves are sold under the Forge & Flame name as the W series. These are the current models, and availability varies by area.
