Who It's For
The wall between the living room and the patio usually holds a window and a door, and nothing that ties the two spaces together. You need a fire that belongs to both. If you’re building or remodeling with an outdoor room right outside, the WS54 Indoor-Outdoor See-Through puts one long flame in the wall between them, visible from the couch and from the patio chair. Choose separate fireplaces and the spaces stay separate; choose this one and a single fire connects the house to the yard.
What Makes It Special
Town & Country designed it to connect the inside to the outside for every season. Disappearing ceramic glass protects the generous flame, and the weather on the patio side leaves it alone.
It comes built into its own pre-built wall panel. Choose the Diamond burner with Twilight glass, with an optional Long Beach log set, or the Tranquility river rock, then finish with porcelain panels and an optional graphite or copper surround.
Possible Downsides
- It’s certified as a decorative fireplace, not a heater; if warming the room is the goal, look at a heater-rated fireplace instead.
- Porcelain panels only; the handcrafted brick panels aren’t offered on the widescreen models.
- The surround is an add-on, not included.
If you want one fire that the living room and the patio share, the WS54 Indoor-Outdoor See-Through is the right decision. Inside or out, everyone is sitting at the same fire.
Choose the Diamond burner in its glass colors, with the Long Beach log set as an option, or the Tranquility burner, then finish the firebox in black, coffee bean brown, titanium, or copper porcelain and frame it with a graphite or copper surround.

The Town & Country Story
Town & Country Fireplaces is the luxury gas fireplace brand of Pacific Energy Fireplace Products Ltd., of Duncan, British Columbia. The name has been in use since 2002, and its first fireplaces introduced the clean-face look: edge-to-edge glass with no louvers or visible controls. Every Town & Country is a direct-vent gas fireplace, and every one is certified as a decorative appliance, not a heater. Sweden's NIBE Group has owned all of Pacific Energy since 2023.
